What You Can Expect
As an Avionics Technician you will be essential to many functions—including troubleshooting and repairing component‑level problems on avionics units (Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio, Autopilot) and aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform general avionics support items on aircraft, including removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
- Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
- Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
- Work with customers in project management, pricing, and customer support roles.
- Work independently on projects.
- Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Effectively and clearly communicate in English (speak, write, read).
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
Education and Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent. Electronics or Avionics factory training is preferred. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Other Requirements
- Attendance every scheduled workday, including overtime and weekend assignments.
- Notify supervisor in advance of shift start if unable to work.
- Reliable transportation to work.
- Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
- Maintain customer‑oriented work habits.
