Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Virginia is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join the Avionics Hardware Engineering team in Dulles. This hands-on role supports development, testing, verification, and troubleshooting of spacecraft avionics hardware including CCAs and EDUs.

The engineer will work closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and EGSE teams to grow technical depth in analog/power and digital hardware while contributing to test readiness and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or MS with 0 years.
• Strong understanding of fundamental electrical principles.
• Ability to read schematics and determine circuit function.
• Understanding of analog, power, and/or digital electronic circuits.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical schematics and requirements to understand hardware.
• Support testing and troubleshooting of avionics hardware on the floor and in labs.
• Troubleshoot test failures and isolate potential causes with data.
• Develop and maintain hardware verification documentation and test procedures.
• Communicate results clearly with design and EGSE teams.
