Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Build & Test Technician (Starship Avionics) in Hawthorne, CA. You will assemble PCB components into chassis, build small electrical sub-assemblies, and test optics and harnesses for avionics assemblies.

The role requires hands-on experience with tools, electronics, and a focus on quality in a fast-paced space hardware environment; OT may be required. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalency required.
• 1+ years of experience using mechanical hand tools.
• 1+ years of professional technician experience in electronics.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical/electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis.
• Build and test small electrical sub-assemblies.
• Build and test optical equipment.
• Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating.
• Run functional testing on units.
• Harnesses routing onto avionics assemblies.
• Support vibe and thermal development tests.
• Perform HASS testing of assemblies built in the area.
