Job summary

Ursa Major, a leader in propulsion and defense systems, seeks an Avionics Manager to lead FPGA design, verification, firmware and test engineering for advanced aerospace programs.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, drive schedules and risk mitigation while partnering across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Program Management to deliver mission-critical avionics hardware.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Computer/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in FPGA-based digital systems, embedded software, avionics, or automated test systems.
• 3+ years engineering leadership leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead an integrated engineering organization for FPGA design, verification, firmware, and avionics test engineering.
• Manage development, integration, verification, qualification, and transition to production of avionics hardware and software.
• Ensure robust engineering processes, design reviews, verification plans, configuration management, and quality standards while meeting schedules.
• Provide technical leadership for FPGA architecture, verification strategy, automated test development, and system integration.
