Job summary

Acron Aviation designs, engineers, and manufactures certified avionics systems used in safety-critical flight operations. We are seeking a firmware engineer to design, develop, verify, and maintain DO-254 compliant firmware for TCAS and transponder applications, collaborating with hardware, software, and certification teams.

Ideal candidates will have FPGA/Verilog experience and familiarity with aerospace lifecycle requirements, with travel up to 10% for customer and project activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 4–9 years of experience.
• Experience with FPGA and firmware design for avionics products.
• DO-254 certification and aerospace lifecycle experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain FPGA-based hardware solutions using industry-standard tools.
• Develop and verify FPGA designs using VHDL and/or Verilog RTL.
• Perform simulation, debugging, and validation to meet performance and quality requirements.
• Apply DO-254 processes and best practices throughout the hardware development lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain hardware documentation and certification deliverables.
