Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace currently seeks an Avionics/Electrical Technician II in Savannah to provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshoot discrepancies, and repair electrical/avionics components according to engineering specs and manuals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and four years in avionics/electrical field or two years schooling with two years related experience; an A&P license is preferred along with FCC/NCATT where applicable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required with 4 years avionics/electrical experience or 2 years accredited aviation electronics schooling plus 2 years related experience.
A&P license preferred; other FCC/NCATT credentials may be considered.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems testing and troubleshooting.
Performs installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per drawings and maintenance manuals.
Ensures quality and efficiency of installations; troubleshoots to provide timely, high-quality repairs.
Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring using proper techniques including splicing, soldering, and pinning.
Performs engineering changes and modifications as required and sets up test equipment for functional tests.
