Job summary

Mach Industries in the United States seeks an Avionics Build Engineer to own the build, integration, testing, and continuous improvement of avionics hardware and electrical systems. You will work with technicians and engineers to ensure assemblies meet aerospace quality standards and production goals.

You will troubleshoot issues, develop manufacturing instructions, support non-conformances, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace or related field; hands-on experience acceptable.
  • 1+ years in hardware systems in production (electrical, avionics, aerospace, robotics, etc.).
  • Experience reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience building or troubleshooting electrical systems, PCB assemblies, or wire harnesses.
  • Understanding of DC/AC circuits, voltage/current, resistance, grounding and signal integrity.
  • Experience with electrical test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware systematically from symptoms to root cause.

Responsibilities

  • Own the build, integration, and bring-up of avionics systems and wire harnesses.
  • Develop, maintain manufacturing instructions, BOMs, drawings, and assembly docs.
  • Troubleshoot hardware using schematics and test equipment; implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with design engineering to prototype and identify DFM/DFT improvements.
  • Drive safety, quality, cost, and throughput by reducing defects and bottlenecks.
  • Develop tooling, fixtures, and production aids to improve repeatability.
  • Train and support technicians on new processes and procedures.
