Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking part-time AVID Tutors to assist students in middle and secondary schools. Tutors will provide targeted support within the AVID program, tailoring their approach based on individual student needs. Pay varies between $13.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on education and certification level.

Qualified candidates should possess at least an accredited High School diploma and 12 college hours. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with a strong background in Math or English.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of content facts, concepts, theories, and principles being taught.
• Ability to work well with internal management and staff.
• Ability to exercise discretion regarding sensitive or confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students in the AVID program.
• Determine the concepts needing to be taught based on student notes.
• Monitor tutorial work to ensure effective participation.
