• AVID tutors work within AVID methodologies in classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person tutorial sessions for small groups and individuals.
• Identify concepts to focus on from student worksheets and discussions.
• Guide students toward active learning with strategies they can use independently.
• Assist students in any subject area using AVID resources and texts.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work online or face-to-face.
• Support AVID scholars through care and connection; maintain classroom tone.
