Job summary

Segers Aero Corporation is seeking a Welder in Fairhope, AL to join our team. The role entails preparing and repairing components using TIG, MIG, Stick welding and related methods according to maintenance manuals, with a 9/80 schedule and every-other-Friday off.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with welding experience or a two-year welder training program plus experience; AWS D17 certification is preferred. Candidates must read blueprints and work safely in a loud environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with welding experience; or a two-year welder program with experience.
• AWS D17 certification or equivalent in applicable alloys.
• Ability to pass criminal background and FAA/DOT pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Weld and repair components per overhaul manual using TIG, MIG, Stick, and brazing as required.
• Operate drill press, grit blast machine, ovens and related equipment to support production.
• Read travelers and welding prints to guide assembly and quality.
• Maintain safety procedures and PPE usage at all times.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in a loud environment; travel as needed.
