Segers Aero Corporation in Fairhope, AL is seeking a Welder to join our team on a full-time basis. The role requires welding expertise across TIG, MIG, Stick, brazing, and soldering to repair and restore components per maintenance manuals.

The position includes operating related equipment, reading welding prints, and ensuring safety compliance under FAA/DOT regulations. Competitive benefits and a 9/80 schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years welding experience or completion of a 2-year welder training program plus 2 years welding experience.
• Certified Welder per AWS D17 or equivalent for alloys used at Segers Aero Corporation.
• Must pass a criminal background check and FAA/DOT pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Weld repair components per overhaul manual using TIG, MIG, Stick, Braze Rod, Spot Weld, and Silver Solder.
• Operate drill press, grit blast machine, ovens and related equipment to support production.
• Heat-treat parts using ovens as required.
• Read travelers and welding prints for direction and quality.
• Repair and restore parts using welding equipment and torches.
• Handle gas cylinders safely and move as needed; travel as required.
• Suggest improvements to equipment, methods, and procedures to boost efficiency.
• Attend safety and health training; comply with PPE policies and company attendance.
• Work overtime as needed.
