AIG in Chicago is seeking an Analyst in the Underwriting - Aviation department to join a fast-paced, learning-focused program. You will work with seasoned underwriters, claims professionals, attorneys, and risk specialists to deliver tailored insurance solutions and excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 2027 (unofficial transcript required upon application).
• Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to collaborate and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and underwriting of aviation risks across areas such as aircraft operators, airports, manufacturers, and airlines.
• Review underwriting submissions, exposure information, loss history, and other relevant data to support risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions.
• Partner with experienced underwriters, claims professionals, attorneys, and risk specialists to develop tailored insurance solutions.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewal opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging aviation risks to support informed underwriting decisions.
• Develop technical knowledge of aviation insurance while building analytical, decision-making, and relationship-management skills.
