Job summary

Avports is seeking an HVN - Coordinator, Human Resources and Admin to support on-site administrative and HR functions at Tweed-New Haven Airport in New Haven, CT.

Under the Human Resources Manager, you will maintain employee records, assist with onboarding, coordinate payroll activities, manage HR documentation, and support benefits, compliance, and employee communications to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Relevant industry experience, vocational training, military experience, or other comparable qualifications may be considered in lieu of certain educational requirements where appropriate and permitted.
• Minimum: Three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a similar position, preferably in transportation, aviation, municipal, or safety-sensitive and highly regulated environment.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in human resources, business administration, office administration, or a related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support recruitment, onboarding, personnel administration, and employee communications.
• Ensure employee records, personnel transactions, and HR documentation are maintained accurately and confidentially.
• As directed, perform HR processes for compliance to company policies, airport requirements, and applicable employment laws.
• Serve as a resource for routine employee and manager inquiries, escalating complex matters as appropriate.
• Coordinate payroll-related activities and audits employee data, timekeeping, and personnel actions for accuracy.
• Maintain employee information within HRIS and learning management systems.
• Prepare workforce, attendance, turnover, and other HR reports to support management decision-making.
• Support data integrity, reporting, and compliance within HR systems.
