Job summary

The Clark County Department of Aviation seeks qualified candidates for Systems Technician I/II on the Information Systems Operations team. Responsibilities include monitoring, repairing, and maintaining airline systems such as RFID, paging, signage, cameras, and FIDS/BHS feeds.

Technician I is a training underfill with progression to Technician II; open competitive eligibility and a strict application limit apply.

Qualifications

Education and experience as described: two years of college coursework and two years of full-time PC hardware/software troubleshooting for Systems Technician I.
Systems Technician II adds one more year of PC and network hardware/software experience; a four-year degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

Designs, installs, tests, documents and maintains LAN systems; troubleshoots hardware/software problems.
Designs, installs, tests and maintains PC systems; assists users to determine needs and installs software.
Installs and maintains communications between departmental systems and other County systems; troubleshoots issues.
Upgrades operating systems by installing vendor releases and ensures proper documentation.
