Applicants must have a high school diploma and an apprenticeship in electrical, HVAC, or facility mechanics, plus one year of skilled experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship in a building trade such as electrician, HVAC, or facility mechanic.
One year of full-time skilled experience installing, maintaining and repairing industrial or commercial mechanical systems.
Professional level education/experience can substitute for an apprenticeship on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair automatic and commercial overhead doors, luggage movement systems, jetways, and related equipment.
Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and diagnosis on controls, components and automation systems.
Prepare cost estimates, order materials, and assist with project planning and implementation.
Maintain records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
