Job summary

Real Time Consulting seeks a Systems Engineer focused on Aircraft Surveillance Systems to verify safety-critical embedded avionics. The role covers TCAS, TAWS, ADS-B and transponder systems within ARP-4754A and DO-178B/DO-178C frameworks.

You will develop test procedures and scripts, perform system verifications, and collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure compliant, robust solutions. Strong communication and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
• 3+ years of system development for safety-critical embedded avionics.
• Experience creating system test procedures, test cases and test scripts.
• Familiar with ARP-4754A aircraft systems lifecycle.
• Familiar with DOORS for requirements capture and tracing.
• Familiar with ClearCase for version control and configuration management.
• Familiar with ClearQuest for change requests.
• Familiar with MATLAB/Simulink for simulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accountable and self-motivated with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform system verification activities for aircraft surveillance systems.
• Develop and maintain system test procedures, cases and scripts.
• Ensure compliance with ARP-4754A and DO-178B/DO-178C guidelines.
