Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Structures Technician for our Millville, NJ location. The role involves repairing and fabricating aircraft structures, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

On-site duties include sheet metal work, tooling handling, and compliance with FAA regulations. Preferred candidates hold an Airframe and Powerplant license or equivalent and have prior aircraft sheet metal repair experience.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and an Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
• Prior aircraft sheet metal repair experience is highly recommended.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings to guide repairs.
• Basic to advanced knowledge of turbine aircraft structures and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe components.
• Repair, modify and inspect aircraft parts following approved procedures.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Repair Station policies.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and proper tool usage.
• Document maintenance entries accurately on forms and work orders.
• Collaborate across departments to complete tasks under supervision.
