Job summary

West Star Aviation is hiring a Gulfstream Sheet Metal Technician in East Alton, IL for a full-time, on-site role. You will perform sheet metal operations on turbine aircraft structures, read drawings, and assist in supervision and planning on projects.

A high school diploma is required, Airframe and Powerplant license preferred, and a valid driver’s license may be beneficial. Benefits start at hire with medical, dental, 401(k) match, time off accruals, weekly pay, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and Powerplant License is preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations, including drilling, riveting and cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills to access electronic training, manuals and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English (speaking, writing, reading).
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
