Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Cahokia Heights, IL is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician for a full-time, on-site position. The role focuses on airframe sheet metal work, sealant application, and maintaining shop facilities within a team-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent; A&P license is preferred. Prior sheet metal experience and strong English communication are valued as part of a fast-paced MRO setting with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; A&P license preferred.
• Prior sheet metal experience preferred.
• Basic math and reading blueprints required.
• Able to follow FAA guidelines and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe and components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling.
• Basic computer skills to access electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
