Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Instructional Designer to support aviation security equipment training and evaluation of our P&B offerings. You will craft curricula, develop ILT-to-digital content, and restructure courses for blended learning, collaborating with SMEs and trainers to ensure accurate, engaging material.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Technical field strongly preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 10 years minimum as a SME on aviation products.
• 10 years minimum related work experience in technical training and development is recommended.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; capable with publishing software and LMS-ready tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to liaise with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and redesign ILT courses and courseware to integrate digital solutions, following the ADDIE model.
• Develop engaging digital content (storyboards, e-learning, videos, webinars, virtual classroom, micro-learning).
• Create digital recertification training packages from existing ILT materials.
• Audit and refine existing online content; reformat tests for LMS readiness.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, software developers, trainers, and management to ensure current content.
• Develop training materials for aviation network solutions (e.g., ProSight) and deliver global training; coordinate with Engineering for latest configurations.
• Assist LMS administrator to ensure content is properly packaged for blended learning formats.
• Support aviation training delivery case-by-case.
