Job summary

Salt Lake City Airport seeks an Airport Electronic Security Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot critical security and access control systems in a fast-paced aviation setting. You will respond to urgent issues, support system upgrades, and ensure federal compliance during operations.

This role offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits and requires a bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a closely related field plus relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or closely related field with one year of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex sketches, drawings, blueprints and project documents.
• Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, coworkers, airport tenants and the public.

Responsibilities

• Performs service and installation of access control, intrusion alarm, security entrance devices, fire systems and other security/life safety systems.
• Responds to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve security and life safety concerns.
• Aligns, adjusts, repairs, maintains and calibrates delicate instruments and equipment.
• Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots systems and performs repairs as necessary.
• Prepares documentation for TSR 1542 and other federal regulations and conveys information.
• Performs upgrades and additions to systems to increase functionality and reliability.
