The City of Charlotte's Aviation Department seeks a Security Operations Coordinator to maintain a safe atmosphere at CLT by managing aviation security, access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident response across airport facilities.

You will train staff, handle alarms, inspections, and logs, coordinate with law enforcement, and support airline operations, tenants and passengers. This unarmed role requires vigilance and decisive action under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3 years of relevant experience or 2 years college with 1 year experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in aviation, criminal justice, airport management, or related field.

Responsabilités

• Interpret and adhere to federal regulations to ensure airport safety and security.
• Staff security access points, monitor entries, and conduct inspections.
• Operate CCTV, access control systems, and credentialing software.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies per plans; maintain logs and reports.
• Provide escorts and assist airlines, tenants, and travelers as needed.
