Job summary

ACTS Airport Services at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport is seeking Aviation Security Officers for the 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm). The role involves access control, screening, vehicle inspections, and incident response to help keep the airport secure.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in security/military or law enforcement, and the ability to pass TSA assessments and background checks. Competitive wages start at $20 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least two (2) years verifiable prior contract security, military or law enforcement experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Able to provide proof of ability to work in the United States.
• Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal History Record Check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Aviation Security Officers.

Responsibilities

• Control access to restricted airport areas.
• Screen and log persons and vehicles accessing restricted areas.
• Control access and conduct vehicle inspections at perimeter access points to the Airport’s secured areas.
• Screen employees, vendors, visitors and belongings utilizing x-ray machines, hand wands, and/or magnetometers.
• Access control at employee checkpoints.
• Monitor and secure exit lanes from sterile area to public area of airport.
• Provide escorts and security for construction of runways, taxiways and terminals/concourses.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies.
