Job summary

Eastern Airlines seeks a Security Manager in Kansas City, MO. This full-time role reports to the Director of Security and oversees security operations, training, and regulatory compliance for domestic and international flights.

You will coordinate with FAA, TSA, airport authorities, and vendors; manage the GSC program, KCM database, SIDA badges, and security audits while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of security training requirements applicable to flight crews, airport personnel, and employees as required by FAA, DOT, TSA, and Company regulations.
• Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Aviation Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Education, or a related field preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) program and assist with training.
• Coordinate with HR to maintain Known Crewmember (KCM) database.
• Develop, administer, and manage security training programs for all employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Serve as the alternate Airport Operations Security Coordinator (AOSC) when the Director of Security is unavailable.
• Respond to inquiries from FAA, TSA, airport authorities, and other regulatory agencies.
