Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Bloomington, MN seeks a Manager of Safety and Training to lead comprehensive safety, security, and training programs across warehouse and ramp operations. You will ensure compliance with corporate policies, airline and regulatory requirements (FAA, TSA, OSHA) while maintaining efficiency and security.

You will guide managers on safety best practices, oversee training, conduct investigations, and drive injury prevention initiatives to foster a safety-first

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of operations experience in aviation and warehouse.
• 5 years of ramp safety experience.
• 5 years in law enforcement, loss prevention, or related field.
• 3 years in disability management, workers’ compensation, or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA, and injury ergonomics.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Data-driven mindset with SMS experience.
• Crisis management and emergency response planning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture of safety excellence through training and engagement.
• Ensure safety protocols across warehouse and ramp align with requirements.
• Lead investigations for safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Guide station managers on safety best practices and incident prevention.
• Oversee training schedules and ensure timely recurrent training.
• Manage training resources and facilities.
• Act as key contact for on-duty injury follow-ups and accommodations.
• Conduct routine physical security audits and report incidents.
• Hold monthly safety meetings to identify hazards and drive culture.
• Drive strategic projects for injury prevention and risk reduction.
• Influence behavior and promote a safety-first mindset.
