Qualifications

• Experience managing a QMS under FAA Part 145 repair station regulations.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certification and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, airworthiness standards, RCA, auditing, and SMS.
• Experience conducting internal and external quality audits in an aviation or aerospace environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Quality Management, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QMS in accordance with FAA Part 145 and ISO/AS9100.
• Oversee quality assurance and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance across maintenance operations.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and corrective action reviews to identify non-conformances.
• Serve as the primary contact for FAA regulatory inquiries, audits, and certification activities.
• Lead safety and quality investigations, root cause analyses, and preventive measures.
• Train, mentor, and guide maintenance staff on quality standards and safety protocols.
• Manage documentation control, calibration programs, and supplier quality oversight.
• Monitor and report on quality and safety metrics to senior leadership.

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or equivalent aviation credential preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
