Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director - Risk Manager to join our growing team in the United States. The ideal candidate will lead risk management for large-scale construction programs, delivering concise risk briefings and ensuring traceability across multiple levels of risk reporting.

The role focuses on developing escalation criteria, coordinating with PMO and delivery teams, and conducting quantitative risk assessments to inform contingency decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience in Program Management or Program Controls.
• Understanding of construction delivery methods and project execution practices.
• Strong communication, analytical, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with ARM, Kahua, and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support recurring risk reporting and escalation to PMO and program leadership.
• Prepare concise, decision-focused risk briefings for program leadership and the client with options and actions.
• Facilitate risk identification across workstreams with technical, construction, and delivery teams.
• Validate risks with owning workstream lead and document traceability.
• Maintain and coordinate risk registers across project, NEEDS, and program levels.
• Develop escalation criteria and risk reporting cadence within the Risk Management Plan.
• Lead cost and schedule risk assessments (QCRA and QSRA) and contingency planning.
• Coordinate with Safety Lead to align risk and safety processes.
