Job summary

Alaska Airlines is seeking a Manager Regulatory Compliance within the Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) department to lead regulatory compliance activities and ensure airworthiness standards are upheld. You will guide a team, set priorities, and coordinate with FAA and internal stakeholders to maintain safety and compliance.

The role requires 5 years in compliance management and 2 years of leadership, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Minimum 5 years of compliance management experience.
• 2 years of leadership experience.
• Effective verbal, written, and listening communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum age 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate FAA letters of investigation, voluntary disclosures, and information requests.
• Advise senior management on airworthiness, compliance, and conformance issues.
• Develop and implement an SMS for the M&E division.
• Define SMS roles, responsibilities, and authorities.
• Monitor changes as a member of the Executive Corrosion Review Board (ECRB).
• Monitor and report the annual department budget.
• Lead regulatory specialists to maintain high standards.
• Advise various safety and review meetings.
• Ensure compliance with SMS and safety policies and federal regulations.
• Incorporate SMS into daily work and keep SMS training current.
