Job summary

Menzies Aviation in United States is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to ensure flights run on time by maintaining records of shipped goods, moving baggage and cargo, and guiding aircraft to gates.

You will lift up to 70 lbs, operate motorized equipment, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required, along with pass of pre-employment tests and flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School diploma, GED or six months ramp agent work experience.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
• Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no major violations in the last 5 years.
• Able to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required airport and security badges.

Responsibilities

• Move baggage and cargo from aircraft and guide aircraft to gates.
• Lift and transport cargo and baggage between aircraft, terminals and facilities.
• Operate motorized equipment as required.
• Read and interpret weight/balance instructions, hazard labels, manifests and routing tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
