Job summary

AV8 MRO is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function at our Houston facility. You will own the Quality Management System across landing gear overhaul, repair, modification, testing, and exchange work, and support our Engineering PMA parts program to ensure compliance with FAA and EASA requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years aerospace quality experience with FAA Part 145 repair station.
• Strong FAA regulatory knowledge on oversight, inspection, and airworthiness.
• Experience in Part 145 MRO operations and/or FAA PMA development.
• Technical purchasing experience and approved vendor program management.
• Proven leadership of quality teams in production/repair environments.
• Ability to read blueprints and airworthiness data.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve FAA/EASA Quality Management System across operations.
• Coordinate audits with FAA, EASA, and customers.
• Oversee or serve as Chief Inspector for FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
• Evaluate PMA/alternate parts for installation eligibility.
• Guide CAPA process and root cause analyses.
• Lead quality team development and supplier qualification.
• Report quality metrics and communicate with customers.
