Job summary

Sunvair, Inc. in Valencia, CA, is seeking an Assistant Manager of Quality Assurance to lead and improve the QMS for the landing gear MRO.

This hands-on role mentors quality personnel and partners with operations, engineering, and production to ensure FAA, EASA, and AS9100 compliance and high standards of product integrity and safety. Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of aerospace MRO experience, specifically landing gear operations.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Part 145, EASA, and AS9100 requirements.
• Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA investigations.
• Proficiency in documenting and controlling quality records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining and continually improving the QMS in accordance with FAA Part 145, EASA, AS9100, and customer specifications.
• Perform internal, and support customer, and regulatory audits; track and verify timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action investigations related to nonconforming material, customer complaints, and audit findings.
• Monitor key quality metrics such as defect rates, rework trends, and identify areas for process improvement.
• Provide ongoing training and guidance to inspection and production teams on quality procedures, standards, and technical requirements.
• Maintain document control, training records, and traceability documentation in accordance with QMS requirements.
