Job summary

LAUNCH IAB in Wichita, KS is seeking a Quality Inspector (MRO) to inspect aircraft and components in a Part 145 environment, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements. This hands-on role requires NDT knowledge and the ability to read engineering drawings.

You will perform in-process and final inspections, review documentation, support audits, and coordinate with NDT Level II/III personnel. Travel may be required; a strong safety and quality mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• FAA Part 145 and MRO quality inspection experience.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with aviation NDT processes.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of MRO systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of maintenance, repair, and overhaul work.
• Verify maintenance actions comply with FAA regulations and manuals.
• Review and approve maintenance documentation for accuracy.
• Conduct/verify conformity inspections and parts certification reviews.
• Support NDT activities and coordinate with NDT personnel.
• Document nonconformances and initiate corrective actions.
• Assist with internal, customer, FAA audits and continuous improvement.
• Maintain calibration and inspection tooling control.
• Promote safety and quality culture; report hazards.
• Lead or participate in RCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
