Job summary

Bombardier in Wichita is seeking an Inspector, Quality Control to join the service center team. You will perform conformity inspections, verify maintenance actions, and ensure paperwork meets specifications and FARs.

The role requires strong aircraft maintenance experience, 2+ years inspection history, and knowledge of SAP. You will read engineering documents, participate in pre-weight checks, and ensure installations are approved before closing.

Qualifications

5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including 2 years in inspection
1 year inspection experience in Bombardier Quality Assurance Department
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and maintenance manuals
A&P certificate or appropriately rated Repairman Certificate
Knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities

Perform conformity inspections of engineering documents to current design per assigned aircraft
Weigh aircraft using the pre-weight checklist
Initiate RED’s and RFE’s as required
Research aircraft drawings and technical data
Update Maintenance Manuals with revisions as required
Ensure all paperwork is complete and complies with engineering specifications, manufacturers maintenance manual, and Repair Station/Quality Control Manual prior to end-of-shift
Perform service inspections of aircraft or components in accordance with applicable parts of FARs and the manufacturer’s maintenance manual
Assist other inspectors in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
Perform the Preliminary Inspection upon arrival of an aircraft at the facility prior to the commencement of maintenance or inspection
Inspect aircraft maintenance, repairs and alterations performed by Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to ensure the corrective action was completed
Inspect fuel panels, final floorboard installation, final nose cowl closing, final aft fuselage closing, and final circuit breaker panel installation and provide “OK to Install”
Inspect engine installation and provide “Installation OK”
