Job summary

Harter Aerospace, based in Tempe, Arizona, is seeking an experienced aviation professional for a desk-based Quality role. You will review documentation, verify compliance with regulations, and issue Return-to-Service approvals in a climate-controlled office and inspection environment.

This position emphasizes detailed reviews over heavy physical labor, leveraging a strong A&P background to ensure airworthiness.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P license strongly preferred (or documented experience qualifying for FAA Repairman’s Certificate in inspection/quality roles)
• 3+ years of hands-on aviation maintenance experience OR 18+ months in aviation quality/inspection
• Strong ability to interpret technical manuals, blueprints, drawings, and OEM data
• Must pass DOT drug and alcohol screening
• U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status

Responsibilities

• Review customer work orders, maintenance records, and technical documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections at dedicated stations using precision tools
• Perform FAA/EASA style inspections and issue Return-to-Service approvals
• Document findings and segregate non-conformances for corrective action
• Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement
• Operate in a fully indoor, climate-controlled facility with desk/workspace setup
