Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Inspector to support first article inspections using a 3D arm, laser tracker, and conventional methods. You will perform production first part checks, final inspections, and supplier product assessments to ensure OEM specifications and internal standards are met.

You will read blueprints, apply OEM specs, and document results using Enovia 3D Viewer, Discus FAIR, Net-Inspect, and Global Shop.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of aviation quality inspection experience.
• Hands-on experience using a 3D arm measurement device (e.g., FARO) for dimensional inspection.
• Ability to perform inspections with laser tracker equipment or a path to learn laser tracking methods.
• Proficiency in inspection and quality control practices, including first article inspections.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of OEM specifications and how to apply them in inspections.
• Experience with complex assembly inspection, including dimensional and fit checks.
• Ability to clearly communicate inspection results to manufacturing, programming, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article inspections using 3D arm, laser tracker, and conventional tools to verify part conformity.
• Conduct production first part checks to confirm setup accuracy and validate processes.
• Complete production final inspections before moving to subsequent steps.
• Inspect supplier products to ensure they meet OEM standards.
• Carry out complex assembly inspections and verify fit against drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Apply OEM specifications and quality standards during inspections.
• Document inspection results using Enovia, Discus FAIR, Net-Inspect, and Global Shop.”
• Communicate findings and nonconformities to cross-functional teams and support continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and adhere to safety and quality standards.
