Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the Quality team in Albuquerque. You will inspect purchased parts and materials for conformance, determine inspection methods, and work from drawings and specifications.

You will create reports, prevent nonconformances, and communicate results across departments. The role requires IPC-610/620 certification, familiarity with ISO/AS quality systems, and experience with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• IPC-610/620 certified or able to be re-certified.
• Familiar with ISO and AS Quality Management Systems.
• Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and aerospace certifications.
• Experience with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
• Experience with data entry, organizing, and scanning documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards and specifications.
• Perform First Article, incoming, and final inspections per IPC-610/620.
• Prepare inspection reports and initiate nonconformance reports.
• Create discrepancy reports for suspect or counterfeit parts.
• Assist with calibration of quality control equipment and back-up calibration tasks.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; report results to stakeholders.
