Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Quality Control Inspector in El Paso, TX to ensure aircraft meet 14 CFR Parts 43, 91 and 125 and FAA/DOD requirements and are airworthy before operation.

Inspect mechanics, review documentation, and approve or reject work to maintain compliance with customer specifications and technical data. Daily tasks include safety inspections, tool control, and maintaining QA records and certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP background clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Five or more years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Valid A&P license required.
• Valid FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) required.
• Possess a valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the work of Aircraft Mechanics performing maintenance, repairs, and modifications across aircraft structures, engines, electrical, avionics, and subsystems.
• Apply technical knowledge to determine proper equipment installation and operation.
• Interpret blueprints and manufacturer manuals to support maintenance decisions.
• Make entries in aircraft logs and provide guidance to junior technicians.
• Perform receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and tests during maintenance and modifications.
• Approve or reject work to ensure compliance with customer specs and data.
• Review and approve locally developed procedures for complex repairs.
• Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements.
