Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services Corp. in Marana, AZ is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to inspect aircraft and components per FAA regulations and company procedures.

The role involves documentation, data integrity, and coordination with customers to ensure airworthiness across heavy maintenance, reactivation, and overhaul projects. The candidate should have an A&P license (valid) and 1 year of maintenance experience in a Part 145 setting, or 5 years as a licensed A&P in a similar aviation

Qualifications

• A&P License valid and current.
• 1 year of aircraft maintenance experience in a Part 145 Repair Station.
• OR 5 years as a licensed A&P in a similar aviation operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2+ years of inspection experience in a high-volume MRO environment.

Responsibilities

• Research and inspect aircraft during heavy maintenance checks, reactivation, or overhaul per manuals and FAA rules.
• Enforce QC standards for material receiving, storage, and workmanship.
• Inspect components during assembly to ensure conformity with manufacturer specs.
• Document all inspections and ensure corrective actions have proper data references.
• Record inspection data and alert Lead Inspector to any safety or airworthiness issues.
• Perform maintenance on company equipment and assist in shop housekeeping.
• Test airframe connections and inspect fit using gauges and tools.
• Oversee installation tolerances of power plant and hydraulic systems.
• Sign inspection tags and log all inspections.
• Coordinate with customer reps and perform duties of Lead Inspector when needed.
