Job summary

The Ascent Group, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Quality Inspector in Mesa, AZ to perform inspections on engines, avionics, and airframes using precision tools to verify airworthiness. Responsibilities

• Performs inspections as scheduled, ensuring quality of workmanship meets standard industry practices and MFG Work Instructions.
• Perform preliminary, in-progress and final inspections on all articles processed.
• Ensure MFG records, work order reports and forms are completed accurately prior to releasing components for return to service.
• Inspect for defects and damage, proper identification, and dimensions using measuring devices.
• Follow and document complex processes, input data and inspection results.
• Be familiar with inspection methods, techniques and equipment to determine quality or airworthiness per safety protocols.
• Communicate acceptance criteria and inspection results with engineering, management and production personnel.
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Non Routine (NRIs) as required.
• Perform receiving inspection duties as needed for all incoming material.
• Oversee proper tagging and identification of all parts to ensure rejected or non-repairable parts are marked and quarantined.
• Contribute to safety program at local level and report hazards; support risk reduction.
• Support Root Cause Corrective Action activities and work with team leaders to complete projects.
• Work on quality control assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment to resolve issues.
