Job summary

McFarland Johnson is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer Aviation Project Manager to lead diverse aviation and infrastructure projects across New England. The role emphasizes client leadership, project delivery, and long-term relationships with airports and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience, preferably in aviation, and is based in New England or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive project management experience in aviation or related fields.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects.
PE license in MA, NH, ME, CT, RI, or VT.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).

Responsibilities

Lead complex aviation and civil/site projects from planning through close-out.
Serve as primary client manager, defining needs and goals.
Manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring technical excellence.
Mentor engineers and support staff across teams.
Contribute to business development and client engagement.
Represent MJ at meetings and industry events.
