Job summary
McFarland Johnson (MJ) seeks an experienced Civil Engineer Aviation Project Manager to lead aviation and infrastructure programs in New England. You will manage complex projects, cultivate key client relationships, and drive successful delivery from planning through close-out.
The ideal candidate has 15+ years of progressive PM experience, strong leadership, and a PE license. Based in New England or willing to relocate, you will join a 100% employee-owned firm with ESOP and comprehensive
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in project management.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects.
- Experience working on aviation or airport projects is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and relationship management.
- Familiarity with the New England market; relocation to the region may be required.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex multidisciplinary projects across aviation, civil/site, planning, and environmental.
- Serve as primary client manager, building long-term relationships with airports in New England.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring technical excellence and quality delivery.
- Mentor engineers and technical staff across teams.
- Support business development, including proposals and client engagement.
- Represent MJ at client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations.
