Job summary

McFarland Johnson, a 100% employee-owned infrastructure firm in New England, seeks an experienced Civil Engineer Aviation Project Manager. You will lead complex aviation projects, build trusted client relationships, and guide multidisciplinary teams across the New England region.

The role emphasizes client leadership, long-term planning, and delivering high-quality design through the full project lifecycle, with opportunities for growth and equity participation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive PM experience in aviation or related infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited) required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in NH, MA, ME, CT, RI, or VT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects across aviation, civil/site, planning, and environmental.
• Serve as primary client manager, developing understanding of client needs and long-term goals.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring technical excellence and quality delivery.
• Guide and mentor engineers and staff across teams.
• Support workload planning and growth of the New England team.
• Contribute to business development, including proposals and client engagement.
• Represent MJ at client meetings and industry events.
