Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Project Manager II – Engineering to lead multi‑disciplinary teams on civil aviation projects in Austin and San Antonio. You will develop project scope, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with clients and partners to deliver value on time and on budget.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience, plus strong contract negotiations, proposal development, and team leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • 2 years of successful management of engineering projects.
  • Preferred PE certification and advanced degrees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist with technical proposals and contracts.
  • Lead or participate in client contract scoping and negotiations.
  • Serve as primary client liaison; manage project team to meet scope, schedule and budget.
  • Implement project delivery plan and oversee development and execution of the PM plan.
  • Oversee staffing, development, retention, and staff reporting; support performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams for business development on mini‑mega/mega projects.
  • Mentor staff and contribute to strategic client engagements.
