Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Dallas is seeking a Project Manager II – Engineering to oversee aviation project lifecycles at a major international airport. The role focuses on budgeting, scheduling, contract negotiations, and cross-functional leadership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with client satisfaction.

You will coordinate with internal and external teams, manage staff development, and drive the project management plan from scope to delivery, contributing to HNTB’s 4-for-4 performance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 10 years of relevant experience
• 2 years of successful management of engineering projects

Responsibilities

• Development of project scope and fee quotation; assist in preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
• Leads or participates in client contract scoping and negotiations.
• Serves as primary client liaison; manages project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and client satisfaction.
• Leads client contract scoping and negotiations.
• Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
• Implements project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
• Leads development and execution of the project management plan.
• Supervises and mentors team toward project objectives.
• Oversees staffing, recruitment, development, retention, and succession; supports performance reviews.
• Partners with Client Service Leaders for business development and client relationships for mega projects.
• Works with project team to prepare proposal/presentation materials.
• Leads proposal development and presentations for strategic projects.
• May recruit, hire and develop staff; manages staff reporting and compensation reviews.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
