Job summary

AAR Corp. in Lake City, FL is seeking a Project Manager to oversee customer aircraft projects, reporting to the VP of Operations.

You will plan schedules, coordinate resources, ensure airworthiness and quality standards with FAA, manage cross-functional teams, and document progress; the role requires a high school diploma and 8+ years in aviation maintenance including management, with an A&P certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 8+ years aviation maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in management.
• Airframe and/or Powerplant Certification required.
• Ability to lead projects and liaise with FAA/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of project plans and schedules, including requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, milestones and reporting thereof.
• Manage and direct assigned projects to ensure timely completion, meeting airworthiness and quality standards per FAA and customer requirements.
• Inform supporting departments of project schedules, priorities, and needs.
• Lead through influence and collaboration to build customer relations.
• Ensure resources (tools, materials, personnel) are available for smooth workflow.
• Monitor milestones to ensure proper man-hour accounting and timely maintenance tasks.
• Report to management on project progress, problems, and changes needed.
• Ensure work and documentation meet FAA/EPA/OSHA standards and repair station policies.
• Fulfill administrative project reporting requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
