Job summary

Port of Seattle seeks a Manager, Aviation Program Controls Cost Estimating to lead estimating services for airfield, landside, terminal, and infrastructure programs. You will develop estimates, manage processes, ensure resource availability, and assure timely, accurate cost data for capital planning and bidding.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with design and planning teams, review elements such as pricing, contingencies, and schedules, and support bid development and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years estimating experience in pre-construction and/or construction projects.
• 2+ years supervisory/lead/mentoring experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, architecture, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations by supervising staff, managing estimating processes and budgets, and leading review meetings.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to review scope, differences, and provide final recommendations to design and planning teams for airfield, landside, terminal, and infrastructure programs.
• Review project estimates for quality and accuracy, including pricing, soft costs, contingencies, scope, schedules, and operational impacts.
• Support project managers by reviewing design team and in-house estimates and developing bid estimates; determine advert ranges for opportunities.
• Develop work packages for major trades with detailed labor, material, and equipment costs; verify market prices; review/assist in negotiating contracts such as GCCM and TRA.
• Update and maintain cost databases reflecting bid results from Port projects and similar scopes.
