Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech in Roy, UT is seeking an engineering intern to assist with power and controls projects. You will help create CAD layouts, select components for performance and manufacturability, and support prototype and production builds.

Responsibilities include testing, coding updates to equipment, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges. Strong communication and foundational engineering knowledge are required.

Qualifications

  • Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related engineering field for entire duration of internship.
  • Basic electrical and software troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle or equipment component layouts or schematics using CAD software i.e., Siemens NX.
  • Select parts or components for quality conscious design, i.e., performance, weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing and serviceability.
  • Follow projects on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production build and provide technical assistance.
  • Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
  • Prototype, test, deploy, and verify code changes to equipment.
