Job summary

FLT Academy seeks an Aircraft Parts/Inventory Control Clerk to manage daily inventory, monitor stock, and process part orders for the maintenance team. The role requires strong MS Office skills, precise communication, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Prior parts department experience is preferred.

The position supports FLT Academy’s bases, with potential after-hours and weekend work as needed and a focus on accuracy in ordering and audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of aircraft illustrated parts manual experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks by importance and urgency.
• Customer service focused; support FLT Academy bases and maintenance.
• Willingness to dig in, plan, and execute initiatives.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Inventory stocking/tracking experience.
• Administration of warrant parts and cores.
• Regular attendance and punctuality required.
• Physical duties include lifting up to 70 pounds and frequent movement.
• Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Daily control of parts inventory.
• Monitor minimum parts inventory levels.
• Research part numbers for ordering accuracy.
• Reorder consumables and maintain stock levels.
• Track and order items requested by aircraft mechanics.
• Inventory parts in the system and issue them as needed.
• Review purchase orders and contracts for conformance.
• File warranty cards as necessary.
• Conduct bi-annual physical inventory counts.
