AVMAC LLC in San Diego, CA seeks an experienced F/A-18 Ordnance Mechanic to inspect, install, maintain and handle all ordnance systems for F/A-18 aircraft. You will ensure systems are mission-capable, safe, and compliant with Navy standards, supporting flight operations and readiness.

The role requires four years as an Ordnance Technician, NAMTGD AO “A” school or equivalent, and proficiency with NALCOMIS, safety regulations, and maintenance documentation.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Four years previous experience as an Ordnance Technician.
• Completion of NAMTGD AO “A” school or equivalent maintenance courses.
• Capable of operating support equipment and knowledge of OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series.
• Knowledge of naval maintenance publications and maintenance requirement card.
• Ability to document maintenance using NALCOMIS.
• Experience loading, arming, disarming and downloading munitions.
• Experience with sheet metal, fiberglass and composite materials.
• Knowledge of safety regulations governing explosives maintenance and operations.

Aufgaben

• Inspects, maintains, repairs and services aircraft weapon, electrical, pneumatic and airframe components.
• Performs hourly, calendar, phase and conditional inspections as required by MRCs.
• Troubleshoots ordnance system discrepancies to the component level.
• Reads schematics and interprets applicable technical data.
• Uses tools and test equipment for maintenance and repair of aircraft.
• Ensures armament systems are safe, reliable, and mission-capable.
