Job summary

ACET in Fort Worth seeks an experienced Aircraft Mechanic II - Ordnance CDI Team Lead to support O-Level maintenance for F/A-18 aircraft. You will lead the ordnance team on shift and serve as CDI, inspecting, repairing, and testing ordnance subsystems in strict accordance with NAVAIR and explosive-safety standards.

This role requires five years of aircraft maintenance with F/A-18 ordnance, DoD security clearance, and the ability to coordinate with Production Control, Maintenance Control, and QA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a heavy emphasis on supporting F/A-18 aircraft ordnance and armament operations.
• Current or previous qualification as an Ordnance Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) with the ability to obtain full re-certification immediately.
• Proficient understanding of NAMP protocols (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series), NAVAIR technical publications, and military explosive safety regulations.
• Thorough knowledge of aviation tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, and specialized electronic/weapons circuitry analyzers.
• Must possess and maintain an active DoD Secret Security Clearance to access the flight line and classified military networks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test ordnance and armament subsystems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Lead shift ordnance maintenance team and prioritize workloads.
• Ensure compliance with NAVAIR manuals and explosive safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Production Control, Maintenance Control, and QA on equipment/serviceability.
